A Sorority House Transforms

A New Home for the Girls of Alpha Xi Delta

Alpha Xi Delta, one of the oldest women's sororities in the United States, came to us to update the interior design of their house in conjunction with a large renovation of their property at the University of Maryland last summer. Their Vision: A beautiful, functional home to represent their mission, "Inspiring women to realize their potential". We soon realized that we were a perfect match as one of our senior designers, Linda Hartman, stepped up to the plate. She combined her personal sorority experience along with her keen sense of talent and design to create one of the most beautiful sorority houses in the country. Working closely with the women of the Corp Board, she created a look that resulted in not only a jaw dropping, beautiful interior that has pleased the Board, A Xi D Corporate and the girls, but a precedent "look" for the company throughout the nation.

A partial quote of Alpha Xi Delta's creed: "These things do we earnestly desire: A clear vision of life, that with gracious and kindly hearts we may share both joy and sorrow, and bring into living reality the sisterhood of women. An appreciation of real merit and worth, steadfastness of soul, that without bitterness or defeat we may encounter misfortune and with humility meet success." It has been our extreme pleasure and honor to work such amazing people and to be part of providing an environment where these emerging young women will soon be launched into the world to discover their ultimate potential.
