Karen Osborne

Karen Osborne Interior DesignerKaren Osborne is the president of Karen Renee Interior Design, Inc. located in Severna Park, Maryland since 1992.  Ms. Osborne, a graduate of Bauder College majoring in Interior Design, is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and serves on the Maryland Chapter of the ASID Board of Directors. She also sits on the Severna Park High School Advisory Board and volunteers time to assist with the school’s Leadership Institute and Mock Interviews. She is Maryland State Certified and has also achieved certification through the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ).

Ms. Osborne’s expertise is in model home merchandising with over nineteen years experience in this highly specialized area of design. She has an extensive list of builder clients and has been involved in the design of over fifty model home projects in her career as well as countless residential and commerical projects. She prides herself on her customer service and ability to always meet a deadline.  Her gift of talent and creativity enables her to entice the potential home buyer to purchase the builder’s home. Ms. Osborne's firm is the recipient of many merchandising and interior design awards including the Home Builders of Maryland’s Outstanding Merchandising Awards, Dream Home Silver Award and What’s Up Annapolis? Magazine’s "Best of Annapolis - Best Home Decorating".

Ms. Osborne has been a guest speaker on more than one occasion on the subject of entrepreneuring women and received the Entrepreneur’s Exchange’s 1995 “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award.  Her expertise has also been called on by many industries such as resale residential, commercial real estate and for several newspaper publications.

A 17 year resident of Anne Arundel County, Ms. Osborne resides with husband Lieutenant Colonel Scott Osborne and their three children.


Linda Hartman Interior DesignerLinda Hartman

Ms. Hartman is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She has been with Karen Renee Interior Design for over 12 years and holds a BS degree in housing and interior design from the University of Missouri. She has over 25 years of experience in residential and commercial design. Ms. Hartman has a strong architectural background and she specializes in new home construction, space planning and renovation. Her past projects include a wide variety of residential work including the Heron Hurst and Pleasant Plains designer show houses. Some notable clients include the Bozzuto Homes Design Center, US Internetworking and Gvozden pediatrics. Her belief is that a person's home should be a creative reflection of his or her personality.

A 23 year resident of Severna Park, Ms. Hartman resides with her husband and two children. She is active in many volunteer projects in the community.  Her innovative and creative ideas and attention to detail along with her dynamic personality is an asset to her clients.


Janiece Gurlik Interior DesignerJaniece Elmer

Janiece L. Elmer is an Allied Member of ASID with an Associates Degree in Interior Design from Morehead State University in Kentucky.  She has been with Karen Renee Interior Design, Inc. for over 10 years since moving into the area from Houston, Texas. Janiece enjoys interpreting her client’s personality while offering innovative design ideas.

Janiece specializes in transitional and contemporary residential design with a flair for color.  Most of her clients are local, but she still does work for some of her Houston clients.  In addition to residential work, her commercial projects include lobbies for historic hotels in Santa Monica, California.  She has also participated in the Anne Arundel Hospital Showhouse in Annapolis producing an award winning master bedroom.




Carol S. Wilson

Carol Wilson Interior DesignerMs. Wilson, a long time resident of Severna Park Maryland, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from The Maryland Institute College of Art.  She also taught Interior Design courses at the Maryland Institute College of Art and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers with experience in both residential and commercial design. 

Ms. Wilson’s current practice has specialized in waterfront residences in the Annapolis area.  Her practice has included projects in Massachusetts, Bermuda, Florida, South Carolina, Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.  In addition her expertise includes the decorative arts, painting, period design, and color.  Ms. Wilson’s most prized projects include working on historical sites like the Governor Paca House, the United States Naval Academy Flag House, and Upton-Scott House restoration. Her most recent publication is Home and Design - Fall 2007.

 

 


Jennifer Bunch Interior DesignerJennifer A. Bunch

Jennifer has always wanted to work in a creative field.  When moving to the Annapolis area in 2002, she decided to make the career change.  Her passion for the interior design field led her to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors, in Interior Design, from Marymount University. 

Jennifer feels that her discerning taste and keen sense of style, as portrayed in her work, is the result of her love of furniture design, architecture, history, and travel.   Jennifer resides in the Severna Park area with her husband William and her dog Cracker.
